Banana 7/11/16

The other night I heard the heavy heel weighted run of Mia on the laminate floor. I was emptying the dishwasher and she sidled up beside me. She tugged at my shirt pulling me to the bananas on the counter top. "You want a banana?" I asked a bit bemused. "Muh" she said. OK, I thought. That's a new one. Usually when she's scavenging the kitchen she'es opening the pantry to find a bag of chips or the refridgerator for some juice.

I pulled the banana from the bushel and peeled it in front of her. She quickly snatched it from me and left just as quickly as she came. Hmmm, I was intruiged. Why the urgency. I followed her up to my bedroom and found her laying on my bed with her ipad mini in her left hand with the banana in her left.

On the screen were three minions. They also had a banana. I've seen her imitating movies before but usually its something rambunctious like a slap to my face or a toy flung at my head. This is good! I thought, maybe this is like her Pokemon Go, something productive can come from her entertainment.

She bit the banana along with the minions. When the scene was over she put her finger over the progress bar at the top of the screen and precisely rewound to the very beginning of the scene. Again, the minion bit the banana and she followed suit. This continued. Three bananas later I started to wonder if this really is a good thing. Lori once told me that bananas make you constipated. I probably should have intervened to teach Mia and important lesson about moderation.
